Imtiaz Ali has announced his next film Jab Harry Met Sejal starring Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma and is set to release a week earlier on August 4 thereby averting a clash with Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The film was earlier called Ring or Rehnuma but if rumour is to be believed it’s Ranbir Kapoor who is behind the title of the film

Here’s what Ranbir had to say about it  “I suggested the title of the film and that time people laughed at me saying, ‘Kya bakwaas title hai’. But the sad part is that I had no idea about the reward, so Shah Rukh Sir, i am coming to Mannat, keep the Rs 5000 ready in cash ! To be honest i was shooting at Mehboob Studio, where Shah Rukh Sir, Imtiaz Ali and Anushka Sharma were also shooting. We all were sitting in a van together and discussing various options for the title of the film and I suggested this title (Jab Harry Met Sejal), everybody laughed at me for the bakwas title I had suggested. Today they have used my title, and I am very happy that I could be a small part of this film.”

However, Shah Rulh Khan had earlier tweeted in the morning: “Just in case Ranbir Kapoor ever claims it… The title ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ was never ever suggested by him! So he doesn’t win the Rs 5,000 reward.” So he might not get the Rs 5000 award after all.

Meanwhile Shah Rukh and Anushka shared the posters of the film, with the first half of the title posted by SRK and the other half of the title by Anushka. The film has been shot in Budapest, Prague, Amsterdam, Lisbon and India.
