Life that has seen a lot, a life that knows what death looks like. Post cancer Manisha Koirala has made her comeback with the movie Dear Maya. The big star of the 90s, Manisha came from Nepal, had no godfather in the industry and yet, pretty much managed to rule the hearts of her fans. When suddenly she faced the downfall in her life it made her realize the value of everything. Here’s what Manisha said of the highs and lows she faced in her life :
“Life is what happens while we are busy making other plans, it’s the uncertainty that makes life so fragile and beautiful. I came from Nepal and happened to be a successful and popular actor in India. I did some 80 odd films in five different languages. Won multiple awards. To be honest, some quality, most quantity,” she said.
“What i didn’t know, that while i was in this most heady, most enjoyable ride ever, life had planned something else for me. I signed a bad film which flopped, and i got a bad review…and another..and another.”
She further added, “Restlessly i was moving from one bad relationship to another one. I was a mess and i was in denial. I had developed an unhealthy lifestyle, which was attracting the wrong company. I fell flat on my face when my marriage broke and soon after, i was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer.”
But still she didn’t gave up and instead fought hard, “No matter how we prepare ourselves, there will always be a surprise that life will throw at us. We need to dive into depth of our being to discover our truth.”
The actress is in a joint effort to spread awareness about cancer and urges people to take health and wellness on a serious note.
